Pea Protein Isolate vs Concentrate
Differences between pea protein isolate (P85) and concentrate (P60) for formulators.
Isolates undergo additional purification for higher protein percentage and typically lower carbohydrate and fibre. Concentrates retain more native components and suit enrichment briefs where isolate purity is not required.
P85 (isolate): ≥85% protein, excellent solubility, neutral taste and aroma — RTD, sports nutrition, bakery, functional foods.
P60 (concentrate): ~60% protein, balanced enrichment and cost efficiency — foods, snacks, bakery, dry mixes.
